Assets
The Administrator role can override the accesses to any asset on the platform. Any changes to asset accesses must be done carefully and only when it is required. This option is provided to be used only when the owner(administrator) of the asset is not available of cannot do this for any reason.
To view or mange assets, log in to the platform and select Access Manager. Select “Assets” from the menu on the left.
On the screen that appears, the assets can be searched based on asset name, email of the owner and asset type. Asset Type is required search criteria.
The assets will be listed with their names and types. In case the owner name is provided as search criteria and there are more than one owners (Administrators) for the assets, any match will be shown.
To view or manage the accesses to the asset, click on the “View/Edit” button in the same row as asset. The dialog box that appears will show a table with existing users, their access levels and a button to remove the user from the list. In the lower part of the dialog box screen the users can be searched by providing at least 3 characters from the user’s email id (excluding ‘@‘ and domain name). Select the users to be given the access and select the access level from the drop down and click on “Add” button below the access drop down.
The modification of the users can be repeated and the changes are saved when OK button is clicked.
